Chapter 6: Dance with the Devil : Flames and Shadows

Rachel woke up to the darkness of night as she stared up at the ceiling she waved her hand in front of her face. As a result a small spark appeared blue light lit up the darkened room. Getting out of bed she wondered out into the bright light of the place she used to call home. As she sighed she noticed that Sarah was sleeping in her room peacefully in the bedroom next to hers. 

While her powers indeed had just awakened Rachel sighed as she paced in her room a thought came to mind. 

"Hmmm I wonder if I can shadow travel." she thought as she went into her room. While she was indeed raised as a human, Rachel wasn't completely ignorant on supernatural abilities from what she noticed shadow travel was a basic means of transportation. 

With that thought in mind Rachel sat crossed legged as she breathed in and out attempting to at the very least phase into the shadow plane like Dark and Anti did. 

"Alright." she said as she closed her eyes and imagined her body being consumed by the shadows within the room. As she did she felt a feeling of being cold surround and encase her body. When she opened her eyes again she noticed that she was in a darker but parallel version of the world she knew. 

"Ha ha I did it!" she said as she stood up and grinned. "Oh this is gonna be fun." she said as she walked through the shadow plane to explore its differences which was not to different to that of the real world. 

Meanwhile Mark leaned his head against the mirror of his room. The thoughts of his friend Rachel had plagued at him for some reason. "I hope she is alright." he thought as he went to sleep his body being sleep deprived as he closed his eyes for just a moment. 

Dark had been restless within Mark as his worry had been evident within his hosts body. Anti had done some major psychological damage on Rachel and he was ready to rip that damn demons throat out if he attempted it again. While granted on the one hand Dark was to restless to sleep, he did wish to check in on the female with green eyes that had captivated his interest. 

With that thought he allowed his shadow to roam across the floor and shadow travel to were Rachel was supposedly in bed. 

Back in the shadow plane Rachel began to walk around a bit amusing herself at the immense silence that was hidden within the plane. "Alright now I need to figure out how to phase out." she said to herself as she tried to think. "If getting in means I get absorbed into shadows then maybe I should imagine myself being spat out of shadows." with that thought in mind she tried to phase out. 

"It seems that every time you pass out Darling I catch you wide awake at night." Dark chuckled as he approached her from the shadows his shadow self amused that she had found a way to actually enter his favorite dimension. 

Rachel nearly jumped at the sound of his voice as he approached her from behind and she sighed "And you seem to enjoy startling me to death itself." she chuckled. 

Dark could not help but smirk a bit as he watched her. "Interesting you managed to figure out how to enter the shadow plane on your own." he said as he circled her. "Are you attempting to learn how to phase out of it as well?" he said clearly reading her thoughts. 

Rachel turned around and glared at Darkiplier. "Next thing on my to do list." she said as she turned sassily around. "Learn how to keep a telepathic mind reader out of my head." Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Dark actually flinch for a moment "Whats the matter Dark?" she said teasing him for once it felt kinda good to be able to tease the teaser. 

Dark looked at Rachel and noticed her grinning mischievously. "Are you mocking me darling?" he said as he approached the young female who stood her ground. 

"And if I am?" Rachel said as she stared back at Dark's shadow. "I am not afraid of you. Neither am I afraid of Anti." she said as she glared at him. 

Dark chuckled a bit before noticing that Rachel was correct about that fact she showed no fear towards him or Anti in the first place. Even as he tried to infiltrate her thoughts at this moment he heard nothing. Sensed nothing as if she were just an empty shell and her soul had vanished. 

Rachel smirked as she looked up at Dark his confused expression amused her just a bit. "Heh. How'd I do?" she said to the shadow. 

Dark stared at her as he responded "Your thoughts what happened to them?" he said a bit alarmed at the fact that she was getting accustomed to her awakening powers so quickly. 

"I imagined feeling nothing." she said casually. "Thinking nothing and feeling numb is quite common for me." while it was true that Rachel had been already emotionally messed up by her mother she refused to allow her burdens to drag her down. 

Dark noticed that Rachel had another interesting side to her. The side of nothingness. "Interesting." he said out loud as several thoughts came hurtling his way.  "I think I enjoyed the no thoughts Darling" he winced. 

Rachel gasped "Sorry.. My bad still getting used to these...." she said as she tried not to think of anything. 

"Much Thanks." Dark responded as he could no longer sense as many thoughts raining through his skull. Watching her he took notice of the fact that her hair was now pulled up into a ponytail revealing the nape of her neck. "You wear your hair up often?" he asked 

Rachel looked at Dark as she leaned her head against the shadow version of the wall of her room. "Yeah its a bit easier to practice when its out of my face." 

Dark chuckled "I like it when its down." 

Rachel blushed red as she tried to think of how to exit the shadow plane. "How to exit this plane I wonder." she thought. 

Dark chuckled as he thought of a devious idea. "How about a trade my dear." he said as his low husky voice whispered into Rachel's ear. "I will teach you how to use your abilities and in return, I get to do whatever I want to you." While the thought was ludicrous to say the least, Dark had been resisting the urge to have his way with her for quite some time now. However, also being a gentlemen he wanted her to make that decision on her own. 

Rachel's cheeks blushed red as she turned her face away from Dark. "So in blunter terms you are offering lessons in exchange for my freedom?" she said as in her mind she was internally growling with anger. "How could he think so little of me?" she thought in her mind. 

Dark chuckled for a moment as he heard her respond to his offer. "If you wish to put it bluntly then yes." He replied and when he felt her wave of anger hit him hard in the chest he took a step backwards.  

Rachel stood up from were she was leaning and thought of one word. "Release." with that she felt her body phase out of the shadow realm. "I don't need your help thank you very much." she said curtly as she controlled her rage and sat cross legged on the floor trying to calm down. 

Dark took notice of Rachel as she phased out of the shadow plane on her own. While he did sense her anger he also sensed her many emotions within her mind. "Hmmm interesting." he chuckled as he allowed his shadow to follow her. 

Rachel closed her eyes as she tried to calm her body down from Dark's solution. "No. Gods forbid if I ever agree to that deal." she thought as she felt his eyes on her from the shadow plane. 

Dark chuckled as he allowed his darkness to engulf her body. He was growing impatient with waiting with being a gentlemen towards her. Her time was up. "Or should I trade my services with a life." he said as he felt her tense up. "I wonder your sister sleeps so peacefully in the next room. It would be such a shame if that state were lets say permanent." 

Rachel growled under her breath as she forced her panic to the furthest corners of her mind.  "You wouldn't dare?" she hissed under her breath a growl forming in the back of her throat as she felt 

Dark's shadow travel over her body. 

"Oh believe me darling I am capable of doing many things." He smirked within the shadows as he struck a nerve in her. He could almost feel her fear radiate off her body. "So here is my second offer, be mine for eternity and your family shall remain safe. Or reject it and everyone you hold dear to your heart dies your choice." 

Rachel's eyes went completely wide at the blackmail that Dark was attempting to pull as she smirked a bit noticing a gap in his blackmail. "Does that mean to include you and mark, jack and Anti as well since you two might as well be people i care about." She said as she sat with her eyes closed she sensed his hesitation as she replied to his comment. "So are you willing to say that you are willing to kill yourself for just the opportunity to be with me?" she said as she breathed out her witty barb at 

Dark hitting very close to home since he decided to piss her off. 

Dark took a step back as she sent a slight barb to his threat. She considered him precious did she? Approaching her from behind he regained his composure as he allowed his shadow to hug her body from behind his shadow self though unable to touch her physically, sent a slight playful chill up the girls spine. 

Rachel growled under her breath as she felt Dark teasing her once again. "I will only say this once Dark." she replied. "Attack my sisters or my father and anyone I care about and I will not hesitate to remove you from your body." she said as a dark husky chuckle erupted from the demon of shadows. 

"Heh. Such a feisty girl aren't you." Dark said as he forced his way out of the shadow plane creating a physical body of his own to pin the girl down with her hands above her head. "I don't enjoy waiting darling and I believe I am officially done giving you the choice."

Glaring up at Dark Rachel began to struggle even though she was not as expierienced as Dark magic and supernatural ability wise she was physically. Taking her left leg from beneath him she kicked him in the chest hard. "I will not be some toy for your amusement Darkiplier" Rachel growled under her breath as she rolled into a kneeling position making a scythe appear in her hand though as it formed they turned into two twin pitch black blades. 

"Oh so you have a few new tricks up your sleeve Darling. How about this deal if you do not wish the others." he said as he flicked his fingers and knocked her backwards. 

"You last 15 minute of my time to do what I will to you either mentally or physically and if you are not emotionally broken and in shards. I will train you." 

Rachel glared at Dark as she arched an eyebrow. "No tricks swear on the hell rulers no tricks." she said as she kept her guard up. 

"Heh your a clever one. I wonder how is it you know of the Hell ruler curse? If i were to do that my essence would be drained from the body I posses." Dark said as he forced her eyes to look up into his. 

"It makes one wonder. Just exactly how much do you know?"

Rachel smirked as she watched Dark's confusion flicker in his red irises. "I am not completely ignorant. Mostly theoretical guesses." 

Dark smirked as he tilted her head to meet his eyes further as he pinned her body against the wall of the room. "So Darling do we have a deal? One minute of your time for a few lessons or none at all and gaining nothing." 

Rachel looked Dark straight in the eye. "I want to know exactly what these lessons will include after I agree if there is any murdering or tormenting those I do not hate I want nothing to do with it." 

Damn she is a sharp one. She does not seem to actually be falling for the bait. "Very well..." Dark said a bit amused as a smirk appeared on his face.  She is actually making it very difficult to manipulate her. Interesting he thought. "So do you agree to the terms set?" 

Rachel glared at Dark you swear first and then I will agree. 

Dammit. Dark thought as she evaded the last hope of manipulation he had up his sleeve. "Very well, I Darkiplier swear upon the rulers of hell that if I break this contract my essence will forever be trapped in hell." 

Rachel looked at Dark square in the eyes as he said those words and a chain appeared tied around in her hand. "And I Rachel swear upon the neutral realm of earth to maintain my end of this agreement and submit to the terms set." As she said the words thorns appeared on the chain cutting her hand and staining it with her blood causing both beings to gasp in shock as the darkness of shadows merged with a light hue of blue and gold. 

"It is done." Dark replied as he bent over and smirked. "Now one minute of your time darling." he said as he used his abilities to pin her against the wall of her room again before kissing her deeply. 

"I believe I am going to enjoy minute of this wager." Dark chuckled as he noticed Rachel's cheeks flush red. "Of this I am certain."
